Mark Calabria Joins Office of Management and Budget, AISLE Board adds New Members

2/24/2025

In his new role at OMB, Calabria will first be detailed to the Consumer Financial Protection BureauFormer FHFA Director Mark Calabria served on the AISLE Advisory Board from November 2023 to early January 2025. HousingWire and Politico have both reported that Calabria will be detailed at the Bureau until Jonathan McKernan is confirmed as the CFPB’s new Director. It has also been reported that Calabria’s long-term role at OMB may be larger in scope with regard to the Trump Administration’s goal to “rein in” independent agencies.

WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO MARK AND HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO AISLE IN ITS FIRST YEAR. HIS FEEDBACK AND PARTICIPATION OVER THE LAST YEAR HELPED US IMMENSELY IN LAUNCHING THE INSTITUTE. WE THANK MARK FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE WORK HE WILL AGAIN DO IN PUBLIC SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. WE ARE ALSO EXCITED TO WELCOME TED TOZER AND JANUARY TAYLOR TO THE AISLE ADVISORY BOARD. THEY WILL MAKE EXCELLENT ADDITIONS TO THE INSTITUTE’S LEADERSHIP.
SAID MARISSA YAKER, AISLE BOARD CHAIR

On February 19, 2025, AISLE shared in its monthly Agency Alert Newsletter a host of supporting Administration and Agency updates that included links to the Trump Administration’s Executive Orders, Fact Sheets, and agency directives related to the reporting by HousingWire and Politico.
