ABOUT AAIM24 |
Join us in Washington, D.C., each spring for intimate working sessions, member networking, and face-to-face conversations with lawmakers, policymakers, and regulators as we discuss the Institute's agenda and policy goals. These high-level, research-driven discussions are supported by the Institute's year-long content development programs and are intimate conversations with Beltway decision-makers.
Most AAIM24 sessions are pen-to-paper working sessions. Working session materials and all relevant drafts will be distributed to attendees at least one week prior to the live event. Attendees must commit to pre-reading all distributed materials in order to be prepared for working sessions where decisions, approvals, and sign-offs must be completed in order to move white papers and other materials to final distribution status.

OPENING SESSION | 9:15 - 10:15 | DISTRICT BALLROOM
During this session former heads of agencies from FHA, FHFA, and GNMA will come together to discuss the impact of the upcoming election and what we can expect going into November. Will the election impact the CFPB? How will it impact proposed changes to Reg X, and the mortgage industry as a whole, as under the current administration affordable housing, junk fees, moratoriums, title insurance policies have all been a focus. Additionally, what we can expect with a future rate environment and its impact on the housing industry—will housing become more affordable? Will rates go down? How will the NAR settlement impact homebuying?
